Text Pad Crashes and DOES NOT do all search and replaces

I have 500Mb - 1Gb files to edit.

I have tried your product on an 800Mb file but it wont work. The following happens. I have tried it three times and wont try again. Due to the size of the file the time to load, do changes and then save is lengthy.

1. Search and Replace does not complete - it just stops half way through the operaton - no error or anything appears
2. I try a second time and every time it crashes out and I have to start over again.

Clearly some basic bugs here and your product cannot handle files of this size.

I am on Windows 7. I saw the post where it was recommended to rename the config.xml file. I looked in my appdata/roaming/helios/textpad/5.0 folder and there was no config.xml there.

VEdit handles very very large files really well.

I guess this is a specialised requirement. I tried NotePad++ and UltraEdit32 and they also could not handle it.
