Macros exist but no longer listed

Post by ineuw »

Lost the list of macros under Macros on the Menu bar, although they exist in Preferences\Macros and function normally. How can they be re-displayed? - Thanks in advance.

When you say they exist in Preferences\Macros, are they listed in the "Macros on menu" box?

Try the following:

Close all Textpads except one.

In the remaining Textpad remove the macros from the menu.
Close that Textpad.

Restart Textpad.
Add the macros back to the menu.
Close that Textpad.

Restart Textpad.

Still gone?

Thanks for your response. I am using v5.4.1 - Nothing helped, so decided to do a thorough uninstall - registry and folders, and re-install which didn't take long because all custom dictionaries, macros etc. are stored on another drive. The new install didn't help either but the macros existed on the Macro toolbar and I dragged them over to where they are supposed to be and everything is fine for now. In retrospect, the uninstall was unnecessary if I would have looked at the macro toolbar, however, this may be a bug.
