Tabs in 5.4.2

Post by Shepman »

Since I upgraded to 5.4.2 from the previous version, at random times, the tabs will not be redrawn when textpad becomes the active window. This is the only app that I run that has this problem and only since I upgraded.

Any known issue around this? And/or fix? Its really annoying. Thanks.

Have not seen any responses. Any ideas?

I can reboot my machine and it will work for a bit..but then the tabs start going away and you have to move the mouse over them to force a redraw. Driving me nuts. I did not update the video drivers or anything. Just updated to 5.4.2. Help.

No one else has reported this problem, so maybe you could try updating your video driver and see if that helps.

Thats what I was afraid of. I updated to the latest video drivers and it still happens and its only TextPad after upgrading to 5.4.2. All my other apps (Toad, Eclipse, Word, Excel, etc...) continue to work just fine. I'll try down grading Textpad to the old version and hope the next upgrade to TextPad fixes the issue.

Just a quick note. I downgraded to 5.2.0 and everything is working again. I have gone 2 days now and the tabs have been fine. All I can say is that something changed in the way the tabs are drawn in the latest textpad version as compared to 5.2.0 that at least on my machine (XP 32 bit) result in them not being drawn after a couple of hours after a reboot until you mouse over with the pointer. Go figure.
