Place term at the beginning of every line or row

I need to place the following term at the beginning of each line in my file


STAGEDATA|

I tried
Find: ^
Replace with: ^STAGEDATA|

Didn't change anything

did you select Regular Expression?

And don't put the ^ at the beginning of the replace with.
