Extension (and class) xxx works! Though "pre" does not which is what i have standardized on. Why can i not use extension and or a class named pre?
BTW despite this BB best efforts i am logging this to my email. Usually a second email address works. Sadly this BB software thoroughly bogarts its contents, forcing one to go to this website for even the slightest information:-(((

If the files were open before the class was created, they will not be recognized as belonging to the class. Close the files and re-open them and they will be recognized.emanuensis wrote:> i can under xp but not under w7... i can .pl files in w7 but using the SAME procedure i cannot get NEW classes to work. Just as i did for the Perl class i shut down textpad completely got a new textpad instance created the class then shut down textpad again. That is the instance which failed to get the PRE class going with *,pre files

I think what MudGuard meant was "Is this supposed to make any sense to anyone other than yourself?" because to be honest, I don't think it does...emanuensis wrote:MudGuard > Is this supposed to make any sense?

Yes, a sense organs perceptions make sense to the central nervous system -ie one's who can do something about it. Such traffic may not be intelligible to sideliners though.
But as this is just a software issue there are many way it can be addressed. As a user of this forum this sensor is frustrated with a slowness necessitated by constantly going to a central site to get information and a lack of bridging to archives of my choosing. As such it may meet some purposes, but not all and certainly not mine.
