Forum entries won't open

Post by rjbcollege »

Hi,

I am new to the forums in TextPad but am already having a problem. I enter a search for help with my issue, find some results, click on the subject link to open the topic for any of them and they all give me a "The page cannot be displayed" error message (or similar depending on the browser of course.

The links to users and forms work but that is of limited use if I can't open the topic itself.

Can anyone help?
regards,

Richard.

It works here.

Please give exact details of what you're doing.

Thanks for the quick response Ben.

I put in a search, any search at all will do, in the forum search page. For example. I enter the text:
in all files
in the keywords field, select either option, in this case search for all terms and click search.

I get the list of topics displayed.

I click on the forum name and the link to that forum works fine. I then click on a topic and that opens the topic OK. (Note that this is not a topic I was looking for at this stage.)

I back page (or start again, I've tried both) and click on any of the suggested topic names from the search results and get the 'can't open the page' message. I do mean any of them, all the topics give me the same result.

Back page again and this time click on an author's name - for example corsika. This takes me to their info page OK and then there's a link to find all posts by this author. I click on that and get the list of topics. I click on any of these, e.g. "Easy Binary/ASCII mode switch" and get the 'can't open this page' message again.

Again, any clues as to why this might be happenning would be much appreciated.
regards,

Richard.
