'tool output' only thing I get when I try to print

all of a sudden, after months of successful use, when I go to print anything i only get one line 'tool output' and the date on a blank page with a '1' on the bottom.

I made no changes to preferences??? any ideas???

If you do a print preview what do you see?

You may have the "Tool Output" window in focus when you go to print and therefore are getting any output on that page - which may be an empty page.

I only see the words 'tool output' the date and page number...how do I take tool output focus off?....and thank you for the reply

I assume the only way to make sure of the active document to print, is for it to be the last window you used before trying to print - click into the document window somewhere and then try print preview.

Sorry not an exact science answer, there may be one.

If i click in the window....it prints fine. If i just open the doc and hit print, without clicking in the window...I get the 'tool output'.

thanks for the help and the workaround....don't know how 'tool output' got to be the default....but at least I can finish today's work....thanks again.
