Block select mode changing when I don't want it

Post by mglacy »

Often (not always), when I use Ctl-Home or my own keystroke alias (Ctl-Q Ctl-R) to go the top of a file, the block select mode changes to the columnar mode, which I don't want.
I'm using v. 5.3. Anyone have any ideas what I might look for to diagnose or fix this? I have a lot of keystroke customizations, and I thought that by accident I might have done something funny there, but if so, I can't find it. I was hoping there was a way to get the list of all keystroke aliases for the menu command to toggle the block select mode, but I can't seem to figure a way to do that.

Thanks for any ideas,
Mike

To find the current keyboard shortcuts for the Toggle Block Select command, go to
Configure | Preferences | Keyboard | Categories: Configure | Coommands: ToggleBlockSelect
and look in the Current keys list.

To get a printable list of ALL of the shortcut keys, do the following:

From the Main Menu: Configure/Preferences/Keyboard
In the column for Categories, select All.
On the right side, left click on the List button.

The result will show up as a new Command Results document that you can modify with notes, and Save and/or Print.

This is a good thing to do, before and after you define your own shortcut keys.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob

Thanks. I'd forgotten about that.
