Upgrade from 4 to 5 license problem

I upgraded my registered Textpad from Version 4 to 5.3.1 today because the website clearly states that no new license will be needed and it's a free release to registered users. Unfortunately, now I have an unlicensed copy of Textpad and my license key for Version 4 is not accepted. Any assistance is appreciated.
