Stuck on Stop Recording

Im new to TextPad. Not a strong user. I have recorded a few easy macros in the past but am now having a problem. When I bring a text file in and click on the macro drop down menu every thing is grayed out except Stop Recording. I just open a file and click Macro menu and rather than showing Record a selectable option it says Stop Recording even though I didnt start recording in the first place. I cant get it to show anything except stop recording. Any ideas?

This problem will be fixed in the next maintenance upgrade, but in the mean time please try renaming the file config.xml, which you will find at the following location, and then try starting up TextPad. Exit from TextPad before renaming the file.

C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0
