Deleting Tools

Post by mserra »

I have a couple of "Tools" (compiler linked) which need to be removed. I cannot find anywhere how to remove such an entry. Any suggestions?

Here's my suggestion:
  1. Click Configure and then click Preferences
  2. Click Tools
  3. Select the tool you want to delete
  4. Click the red X

Thanks, I appreciate it. My "red X" is greyed out, thus my confusion. I will do the typical IT syetms person action - re-install textpad and see. Hopefully the red X will come to life and your intuitively sound advice will come to action.

Just to verify, you do have a tool selected e.g. "Compile Java" My red X is greyed out although there is a faint border around a given tool which might given the appearance of a tool being selected. A full click on the name results in the focus being given to that item and the X becomes ungreyed.
