line lenght.. I can only read 4089..

When you read/open the file.. line lenght.. I can only read 4089.. is there a limit?

Longer lines are just not displayed/truncated.. without any warning.

I just created a file of 10 lines, each of 1,000,000 characters, closed it, opened it, edited it, closed it, opened it.

It's slow--very slow--but all the text is there.

This is version 5.2.1.

I am using latest version of Textpad too..
Interesting.. I am not able to view file with line len longer then 4089, if the file was created outside of textpad (actually on z/OS and FTPed to PC)

I am able to edit it, and to add more then 4089 in any normal file..
I can provide you file, if you want to test on mine (I understanf you are supporting textpad product, or develop it?)

Where did you get 5.2.1?

On the download page, I only see (and only have installed) 5.2.0.

Ah, I'm not sure. It might be a development version sent to me by Helios. If so, the difference between it and the one on the web site is unlikely to be significant. Sorry for the confusion.
