Importing macros -- earlier versions

I would like to import some macros that I created in an earlier version of Textpad (I currently use 5.2.0 and my earlier version was 4.7.2) and some other macros that were created by a friend who is also using 5.2. I have tried putting the 4.7.2 macro files (*.tpm) in the folder listed in Preferences|Folders, but that did not seem to work. To re-create some of the macros would take quite a while. Is there some way to import those macros into 5.2.0?
