Is it possible to assign a user defined macro to a keyboard short cut? I have searched the forums but didn't find any info.
Thanks,

YES.
Close all documents including the opening blank one.
Close all other copies of Textpad.
From the Main Menu:
Conifgure/Preferences/Keyboard/
Left column, select Macros
Highlight the desired macro in the right column
Left click the mouse in the blank field "Press new shortcut key" to position the cursor there. Now press the key combo that you want to use, the value will appear in the field.
Left click on the Assign button.
OK your way out.
Close TextPad and Open it again.
There may be a few extra steps included that are different from others' instructions, but there are some work habits I have developed to prevent more scar tissue.
