Initial Focus is always Search Results Window

Any time I open a file with TextPad V5.20 the initiual focus is the lower window pane for "Search Results". Quite naturally I would prefer it to be the file I opened. How / Where can I change this?

I can't reproduce your problem. Every time I open TextPad, the focus is on the document window.

The first thing you can try is to close the Search Results pane. The pane shouldn't be there when you next open TP.

If that doesn't work, you can go into Configure -> Preferences -> View. Under "Dockable log windows", clear the "Search Results" box. That changes the search results from a pane to a window. Not too good if you actually like the pane, but give that a go.

I can reproduce the problem fairly easily. If I have the "search Results" pane open when I close the file, it will always have the initial focus when I re-open that file.

Getting rid of the Search results pane before closing the file does address the issue. But it is hard to remember to do that...
