Document Selector won't dock, disappears

Win XP Pro SP3, TextPad 5.2.

I had to download and reinstall TextPad after a disk crash and then an upgrade to SP3. I've always used TextPad with the Document Selector docked on the right (in fact, I didn't know it could be in any other position). Somehow I got it undocked in 5.2, and now I cannot redock it on the right.

While it was undocked, no amount of right-clicking the edge or double-clicking the title bar ever brought up a pop-up with an "Allow docking" option. Then somehow it managed to snap back to the left and dock itself, I do not know in response to what.

So: how can I dock the Document Selector on the right? And why does the Help not address this issue? The word "dock" does not even appear in the index! The Search function show only one topic for "dock" or "docking": Repositioning the clip library.
