I am using 4.5 and am starting to use xml files but the files I am getting are all showing on the same line.
Is there a way to get them to display on separate lines for each tag and indent as well?
Thanks,
Tom

You could use
HTML Tidy to re-format the xml.

I use the XML Tidy add-on for TextPad, which can be found on the
TextPad Add-ons page .
it works pretty well for indenting lines to make things easier to read.
I do, however, always end up fussing with the text a little afterwards.

rsperberg,
I followed your link and followed the directions in the ReadMe. When I used the tool it replaced everything with a single "v". Is Tidy supposed to work with 5.1? Should the directions in the ReadMe be changed?

My only experience is working with TextPad 4.7.
It does sound like a warning of incompatiblity with 5.1 ought to be noted. Not sure how that would be effected.

I found that XML Notepad 2007, worked really well.
I don't use all the xml stuff, I just open the file and then save it.
Then I open it up in Textpad and it looks great.
Thanks,
Tom
