How to start with the last opened txt file

Post by insitus »

I am currently using v. 5.10. I would like to start with the last opened document instead of a blank txt file. I looked at reference > General but I could not figure out how to do it. Please advise me how. TIA. James

Save your editing session as a workspace:

Configure | Preferences | General | Reload last workspace at startup
It will remember which part of the file or files you were looking at, where your cursor was and what was selected in each of them, your search results, ...

ben_josephs,

I have a question for you. I had a txt file which I use so frquently. As you suggested, I created tws file for the same txt file. When looked at two files, this is what I see

test.txt: 2,548 Byste
test.tws 121 Bytes

How come the file size of tws was shrinked 20-fold?

The workspace file is a record of your editing session, including a reference to the one text file in that session. The workspace file does not contain the text file.
