Viewing Multiple Docus in different panes of split window

Post by nexist »

Am I missing something? I would like to split the window into multiple sections (eg, in half with the upper half further divided into three panes). I would then like to have each window to contain a different file. The idea is for me to have reference material in the upper panes and the documentl with which I am working on the bottom pane.

What am I missing?

Just change each of the documents to the Reseize mode vs. Maximized, then move and resize them as needed.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob

Textpad 5 Split window to edit 2 documents at the same time

Post by kwhittaker »

How do you split the screen and edit 2 documents at the same time.

I do not understand the "resize mode" and have searched help but have not had much luck.

What I am looking for is what Textpad 4 did, put the second document in the second window.

Thanks for any help

I had to turn the document tabs off, and it did the trick.

Thank you, turning off the tabs made the resize button available.

I appreciate everyone's help.
