4.7 macros in 5.0

i have some 4.7 macros that i would like to use in 5.0. where do i put them? i tried copying them [MACRO3.TPM ,etc] to C:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0\ etc, which is where the config.xml file is, but textpad doesn't see them.

They must be in the location you have defined for macro files.

Configure/Preferences/Folders/Macros/ you make definition of path here.

i put them everywhere i could think of and one of the places was the default path defined in preferences, but they still don't show up in the macros menu.

You need to add them to the Menu for Macros.

Configure/Preferences/Macros
Select from the left side(available) and add to the right side(Menu).
