I have tried to enter a new file association for ".inc" and each time TP5.0 GPF's.
Please try this and reply post back to confirm.
1 -- Open/Start TextPad 5.0 (If you are working on any documents, save and close them.)
2 -- Close any open documents.
3 -- Navigate to Configure->Preference->Associated Files
4 -- Click in the "New Extension" drop down and type ".inc" (without the quotes).
5 -- Press the <TAB> key.
At this point, on my system, it will cause a GPF.

Yes, I reproduced the crash following exact steps. It is on XP PRO SP2. The crash seems to only happen to ".inc" extension.
There are some posts here about v5 already. The biggest problem I had with it is the installer screwed up file associations and syntax files. I had to uninstall TextPad 5 compeletly, and remove all registry entries and reinstall.

I cannot even select the Associated files option without getting a GPF.
I just got a new machine, XP Pro 2, just setting it up. I did install 5 on my old box that is running 2003 server. I think changed a bat file that exported settings for 4, to point to 5 instead and then copied that .reg file over and merged it into the registry.

This appears to be fixed in 5.0.2, and I cannot seem to get it to GPF in the Preference dialog. THANKS!
