Since I use TextPad on a daily basis I also edit my journal with TextPad and I would like to set up a macro that positions me to the end of the file inserts a date and a new line for me to start a new day's log.
After searching I found several hits for the ability to run a macro from a command line. Unfortunately many these keep referring people to Macro Scheduler" instead of just us just pushing for an enhancement, as there seems to be enough of us who would like to have this feature with something we already have.
Hopefully there are more of you out here like us and would like to see this feature in a hopefully soon to be released version.
command line switch "-m" to run a macro for a give

Make a text file
Put this on the first line:
.LOG
(That's a period followed by uppercase LOG)
Save the file with txt extension.
When ever you open the file, it will be data/time stamped at the bottom of the file. Press CTL=End to go to the next line to do your typing.
