Hi,
I am using the 30-day trial of WildEdit downloaded earlier today and have discovered a problem...
The folder listbox on the left hand side shows two top-level folders; 'My Computer' and 'My Network Places'. If I expand 'My Network Places' I notice two things:
1. WildEdit appears to 'hang' for several minutes before displaying anything below 'My Network Places'
2. The computers shown below 'My Network Places' are not the links I see when I double-click the 'My Network Places' icon on the desktop! In WildEdit I see a list of all other workstations (but not servers) in the same domain as my workstation.
Shouldn't I see the same links as are displayed when I double-click the 'My Network Places' icon on my desktop?
Regards,
Neil W. Garside
Expanding 'My Network Places' is slow (and wrong!)

The easiest way for Wild Edit to work with a site on your network is to map that folder of the site as a drive on your machine...
Browse to the parent folder of your site through your network.
Right click on the folder and choose "Map Network Drive..."
It'll now show up as a "local drive" on your machine under my computer and you'll be able to more quickly access the network location with Wild Edit.
It's the ONLY way I can do edits on my intranet. Being as it's so stinking big, Wild Edit takes forever to try to browse through it. In fact I've never seen Wild Edit be able to actually accomplish browsing the network, Wild Edit always times out/freezes.
