Quick version:
If you open all files, from the context menu of a search results page... you can not interupt it... all files must load.
Long version:
So, I did a query, to find in files, for what turned out to be a huge data set...
Looking for "tab" in HTML files... (which matched on "<table", thus I got 4,000+ files...
So I went to right click, and "Clear all", but I must have missed, and hit "Open all"...
So, 4,000+ files start opening, with NO WAY to interupt it...
needless to say, I couldn't use my computer for a while...
I should also note, I would have CTRL+ALT+DEL'd it, but I had open unsaved documents I was working on, so all I could do was wait...
(PS If this does get fixed, while at it, increasing the interupt check on the find itself would be greatly appreciated.... as it can hang for a while, when trying to cancel out...)
Cheers,
Steve
Bug Warning, User can not interupt multiple file load

Time consuming stuff
It's the same with a single very large file. I think that for ANY operation, if it's going to take a long time (more than 10-20 seconds), the user should be warned with a 'OK/Cancel' box before proceeding. Here the warning would be 'You are about to open 4000 files. Are you sure you want to do this?'.
Being able to cancel after you click 'OK' is then less important.
