Textpad for linux

Post by FliesLikeABrick »

As a long-time textpad user, and a person who had no issue spending the $30 for a license...I would absolutely love to see a linux version of textpad, since I tend to use linux more than windows nowadays, and itd be great to have a full-featured text editor like this, especially one with which i'm already so familiar.

just my $0.02

It won't happen.

I've been waiting for editable macros and VBA built into TextPad for more three years now. I'm glad I didn't hold my breath.

I heard that Microsoft charges fees of applications that has VBA integrated (not sure by license or by copy) and that is not a small amount to applications like TextPad. Beyound that the application should be designed to support automation which is also too big for TextPad.
