Start Without Document Selector
When I start TextPad it always shows me the Doicument Selector and Clip Library. I can shut them off, but they're always back the next time I start the program. Is there any way to get the program to start without them?
Re: Start Without Document Selector
Yo can save your workspace with:-
file/workspace/save
and "reload last workspace at startup" under
configure preferences
This not only saves the clip library and file selector presence/absence but the entire state of TextPad. Perhaps this is more than you want?

I want just the opposite . . .
It drives me crazy. Every time I open up TextPad on a particular machine (it's Terminal Services and I have the problem under more than one account), I have to re-open the document selector. I've been using TextPad for close to ten years now and I don't recall having this problem before.
I understand that automatically reloading the last workspace should correct it, but it just feels wrong and I believe that there must be a better way. Moreover, some of my workspaces contain large files that take a while to reload; I don't want to have to remember to load a "small" workspace every time I exit and I don't think I should be penalized by having to wait on the large one if that's not what I'm working on.
Finally--and maybe there's a clue here for the person who figures this problem out--I'm having the problem even when I specifically open a workspace. That is, I have the document selector open when I save the workspace, but when I go to reload it, the selector isn't there anymore and I have to choose it from the menu. This makes me think that automatically opening the last workspace won't help anyway.
Thanks for any insight.

workspace issues
FYI: loading the last workspace didn't help. Again, I'm guessing there's a clue in that. Sorry I didn't check before my previous post.
In any case, the problem is still there. I guess I might try searching the forum under workspace issues . . . Still eager for any suggestions.
