How to create custom key shortcuts - but using my own text

Post by dba123 »

I want to create hotkeys (shortcuts) based on my own keyboard keys and text output.

for example, I want to set one up that if I select CNTRL X, it will output the string "Response.write" to the doc I am editing.

I would reccomend the clip library, but keyboard shortcuts for that I don't know. So here goes. First record a macro for the text you want to paste, then goto Configure->Preferences->Keyboard, select Macros and your macro in the Categories and Commands boxes, assign your shortcut. HTH
Then I open up and see

Since no one has replied to your request in the How To section, you can still delete your earlier entries.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
