hey, guys. i hope you can help me. i'm sorry if this is posted somewhere else. i did a search for "compile" but couldn't find anything. ok, so anyway, here's my problem.
i'm taking a java class at school and i installed textpad from the disc that came with the book. everything went smoothly and i opened up a program that i was working on in class and clicked tools to compile it so i could remember what the problems with it were, but i have no compile or run java options. i tried preferences in the configure menu but i don't have the option to put compile or run under my tools menu.
i really need to get this stuff done today so if you could help me on this one i would greatly appreciate it. thanks guys.

1. Make sure you have Java installed.
2. Install the latest version of TP, if you are not using it already, uninstall first.
3. Take a look at http://textpad.com/support/faq/java.html
