Pasting of text into V4.7.2 adds blank lines

Post by Dietz »

I have recently updated from V4.5 to V4.7.2 and everytime I paste external text into a new file or append to an existing file, the program automatically adds a blank line between text lines. If I copy and paste lines of an existing file no blank lines are added.

This has never an issue with V4.5 and I can not figure out how to suppress this behavior. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Thanks

Text source application

I am running Windows NT 4.0 SP6a and I am using the Windows default clipboard copy feature to highlight, copy and then paste. If I paste the data to Textpad 4.5, Notepad, Wordpad or Word I have no problem. It only occurs with the new version of Textpad.

If I save the clipboard text in a Notepad file and reopen it using Textpad 4.7.2 the program adds extra blank lines between the existing lines.

Actually he answered MudGuard's question as asked...probably not as intended, which was probably the question you ask.
