newbie question (windows search contents)

Post by homerjsim »

Hi
I have a hopefully simple question - often I'd like to be able to search the *contents* of my java source files, but I guess because java files are Unicode/UTF-8, the Windows XP search (that stupid dog!) can't see the contents (apparently it only sees standard text files).

Does anybody know of a utility that would do this for me?

Thanks in advance,

Brian Ales

Try pressing Ctrl-F5 in Textpad ;)
Then I open up and see
the person fumbling here is me
a different way to be

Hmm, perhaps from the java IDE you are using?
Or something like this http://www.webattack.com/get/lookdisk.html ?
