Tab character in syntax definitions?

Post by Windrose »

Is there a way to use the tab character (regex \t) in a syntax defintion as a keyword? I'd like to be able to have tabs highlighted thus for tab delimited data files.

It doesn't look like the syntax files can handle it. At least, I can't figure how to make it happen. Nor can I think of an alternative beyond turning on Visible Spaces (under the View menu).

Pretty much the same conclusion I came to. Well, I guess that's not too terrible, since since you can apply things like visible spaces to individual files when there are several open.[/quote]
