syntax colors not appearing

I can change the font size, however the syntax colors are not appearing (i.e. comments, html code, urls etc.)

What's wrong?

Good question, what is wrong? Open a file that is not displaying as you wish. Right click the document and under Properties, check out the Syntax tab. Is Enable Syntax Highlighting checked? If so, what syntax file is it using? Does that file correspond to the file you have opened?
