How to make colour scheme default?

Post by leon »

Hi,
I'd like to work in the same simple colour scheme in every document class: white font on black background.
Is there a simple way to make this scheme the default for all classes without having to edit the colours manually for every individual class?

If you make the color changes for the Default document class, then these changes will be propagated to all other document classes, as long as the option to "Apply these settings to all other document classes", is enabled on the Default document class options Preferences page.

I am stupid

Post by leon »

Am I stupid? Yes, I am! I'd already enabled that option, but I saw no effect. That was, of course, because I used to copy and paste my files from my content management system, edit them and cp them back. Al nice in black and white, until I opened an existing class file. Stupid me hadn't changed any colours at all in the default class ...
Thanks, :( Leon
