Column Ruler

Post by Stuart »

:?:

Is it possible to add a column ruler to TextPad?

Sorry if this has been asked in the past.

Thanks.

Make a two line ruler like this, add it to your personal clip library, name it "ruler"...Then just position your cursot and double click on your library clip.
................1................2................3.................4...............5................6...............7................8
12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890
Extend as necessary with Word Wrap OFF.
(Sorry, cannot scroll beneath it leaving at top of document).

===================
Note: The sample ruler clip was edited on 4/2/04 to remove an extra character between 13 and 14. Sorry about that. :oops: . The sample shown now is the corrected version that can be copied. The spaces on the first line are for presentation purposes on the forum and should actually only have 9 characters betweeen them.

What about using TextPad's split view feature? :D
Edit: You'd need to disable synchronized scrolling, of course.
