How to open a javafile using textpad

Hello, I was sent a java applet using textpad via email.
The prolbem is I cant view it, it looks encripted or somthing.
I downloaded textpad, tried to open it agian, still the same thing.
I emailed it to my laptop which has textpad and all the java versions on it,
still the same thing. The extention on it says javalab.zip

Can someone tell me how to open this thing and view it?

Do you have Winzip or Winrar or something similar?
