Compiling help

I just installed textpad, and everytime i try to compile something ive worked on it tells me javac.exe cannot find the specified file. Why is this happening and how do i get it to work? Ive looked all over the FAQ and played around with the program but cant figure it out. Someone help me please, thanks.
