Adding Clip Libraries

Post by dch »

Downloaded a clip library from textpad.com site, unzipped and placed .tcl file in "Sample" folder. New library does not appear in the Clip Library drop down list.

Using the lastest version 4.7.2

Any suggestions?

Have you exited and restarted TP? I believe there is a way to get it reload the list w/o exiting but I'm too tired to look for it now? If it doesn't show up, let us know what TCL file you downloaded. Perhaps the archive is corrupt.

I downloaded the file-

http://www.textpad.com/add-ons/files/cl ... exp_en.zip

I have since downloaded another clip library, which showed up on the drop down menu after I closed and reopened the Clip Library window.

Like you said the file may be corrupt.

Hmmmm, I'm no great TCL format expert but it looks like it's valid, at least compared to the ones I'm looking at (amslatex, perl reg exp, t-sql and latex) Anyone with sharper eyes wanna take a crack at it?

I found the problem!!!

In the first line of the .tcl file the phrase "by swaxi@fnuque.dk" was actually on line 2. When I moved it to the end of line 1 where it should have been then the Clip library showed up in the Clip Library window.

This is something that probably needs correcting in the .zip file on the TextPad.com site.
