Use textpad as a hexeditor

Hi,
if I open a file in binary mode there seems to be no way to change to the right side where the translation from hex to text is shown. I want to "hop" from the hex side to the text side and alter letters there having a look at the altered hex-code when changing again to the hex side (this way of working was allowed in PC-TOOLS long ago). Version is 4.7.2

Any suggestions?

Textpad unfortunately does not have a hex editor, only a hex view
