Compiling Using the Tools menu item

Post by Bill McBride »

I just had to reinstal TextPad and I can no longer go to Tools on the menu bar and have it Compile the current application and then use the Tools again to Run the application.

How can I set this up to work again?

Thanks,

Configure->Preferences->Tools and select Add from the drop down menu?
Also this in the Java forum.

Did you uninstall Java to? If so, reinstall it.
After you have installed the Java SDK, as described in its
installation instructions, you can add commands to compile and run Java
applications and applets to TextPad's Tools menu as follows:

1. From the Configure menu, choose Preferences.

2. Select the Tools page on the Preferences dialog box.

3. Click Add.

4. Select "Java SDK Commands" from the drop down menu.

5. Click OK.
