Written code is black instead of colored.

Post by dwarner »

I went into the document classes and checked that html is using color and it says it is set to normal. All my written code is black. I cant get color. This makes coding difficult. I would love to buy this App, but not without color. Please help.

Not sure about your problem but do the basic check.
- Close all open documents
- Under Configure->Prefrences->Document Classes->HTML->Syntax
Check "Enable Syntax Highlighting" and select the HTML syntax definiton file.
- Under Configure->Prefrences->Document Classes->HTML make sure
that "Files in class HTML" contain "*.HTML" etc, not ".HTML"

Highlighting still not working...

Post by bigdave »

Hi,

I've recently upgraded from an older version (not 100% sure, but think it was 4.3) in which I had multiple document classes, all of which provided the appropriate syntax highlighting definitions.

In version 4.5, even though I've got the same document classes, syntax hilighting doesn't work at all (all text is simply black!). I've been tinkering with it for quite a while, have even uninstalled & reinstalled it, but can't get it working. I've done all of the above, but still have had no joy. Am I missing something?!

:?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

GOT IT!

...it turns out that the "TEXT" document class had "*" defined for the files in class, which seemed to overwrite all other classes...!

:twisted:

thx.
