How important is it to you, to have this feature implemented into future versions of TextPad?

Reload and reapply syntax definition

Post by jeffy »

Another idea I would like implemented:

A command that reloads the current syntax definition file and reapplies it to all open documents.

To clarify: This is mostly helpful for those who actively edit syntax definition files. It would prevent having to close the documents/program, and reopening just to see your changes.

Yes, this would be most useful. I currently have to change the syntax definition file (to something arbitrary) and apply it, then change it back to the correct one and apply again. Very inconvenient and very easy to remedy.
