Run a Tool with multiple file names passed

Post by derekwallace »

Hi,
In the document selector window i can select multiple files.

I want to run a tool and pass the selected file names to that tool.
Ive looked in the help and it seems to only indicate that the current file
can be passed.
Am i missing something?

I am trying to run Beyond Compare tool from within textpad to compare 2
files. It is a excellent diff tool

Thanks
Derek

 Meantime, you can employ a workaround that I have been using successfully for a similar situation..

See http://textpad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3895.

Examdiff also wants two filenames, and the method describes how to get one filename from the current file, and the other from the clipboard (which you first cleverly populate with a keyboard shortcut).
