Set Clipboard in block mode

Post by email2nikhil »

I have created a application which works outside textpad and generates the series of numbers one below the other and sets the clipboard with this series.
eg.
1001
1002
1003
1004
1005

Now when I try to paste the set text to textpad it pastes in the default style, not in the block paste mode.

I want to paste like this:
Let the text before paste be-
No. 1 :
No. 2 :
No. 3 :
No. 4 :
No. 5 :

After paste it should be like -
No. 1 : 1001
No. 2 : 1002
No. 3 : 1003
No. 4 : 1004
No. 5 : 1005

But it comes as -
No. 1 : 1001
1002
1003
1004
1005
No. 2 :
No. 3 :
No. 4 :
No. 5 :

HOW CAN I SET THE CLIPBOARD AS I REQUIRE? Is any special character is to be setted?

Selecting Block Select Mode from the Configure menu works for me.

I was able to duplicate your problem when the destination document's Word Wrap setting was set ON.

Setting it to OFF makes things work the way you expect - which makes sense, because what you're after is a Block-mode paste .. and Block mode is only available with Word Wrap = OFF
