I'm really not a moron. I'm walking around here with a 256MB Thumb drive hanging from a cord around my neck. Gee, could I write my snippet file (web page, whatever) on that?!?!?!

In my own defense, I did just buy the drive a few days ago.

Go for it... but what i see happening is you have to keep walking around with that drive .. if you must walk around with something, then maybe burn a cd or even a floppy with ure snippets..

The Thumb drive is smaller than one of those little Bic cigarette lighters. Much smaller than a CD or a floppy. However, you are correct, I'd have to make sure I always have that drive with me. Our original ideas are still better. Write the snippets remotely.
