UTF-8 and SAVE AS

I originally made the change to UTF-8 encoding when TextPad made this possible. Then I found out that this encoding causes problems in my search engine so discontinued it's use (as it wasn't necessary, just interesting to me).

Now when I try to "Save as" certain documents which were saved in UTF-8 during the period that I was using it, the properties are always given as UTF-8, even when I have previously SAVED AS ANSI.

EDIT: Yagg! It's worse than that...seems like all documents are being saved as UTF-8 when I use SAVE AS!


Something's stuck in there

HELLO HELLO...THIS IS IMPORTANT. Even a newly created document is being saved as UTF-8! This is not a small problem.
