Okay. This should be simple, but surely God is not the only one who
knows how to fix it!
I'm editing an XML document and want to view it. I click on the "Earth
icon" and Netscape 4.7x runs. Yeah, I know it is old, but it does NOT
support XML.
Couple of things
1) I want IE to be the default browser that is launched by Textpad.
2) How could I get XML Spy to be the program attached to XML extensions?
Make life easier for me, please?

I think the default browser is detemined by your system.
Check the File Associations in Explore and Change Open settings from Netscape to MSIE. But this will apply to all html files. MSIE will become your default browser for all applications.
( I also prefer Netscape 4.79 to all other browsers, but don't want to get into a discussion of the best browsers. We each work differently and no one product will make everyone happy).
