Starting TextPad Problem

Post by PCWinger »

I have had to re-install the XP OS. I had TextPad working fine before but now when I start it I get an error message tellimg me that the "HTML.SYN" file can't be found> I did a search and it's there just where it doesn't say it is. :?:

You may be starting TextPad from a copy of TextPad.exe, instead of a shortcut.

If that isn't the solution, then check that the the folder listed under Configure/Preferences/Folders/Syntax, is correct, and your syntax files are located there.

I downloaded the file again, removed the program, rebooted, re-installed the new program and I dind't get the error message. But I also didn't have colored syntax. I played with it and found that I needed to go into prefferences and tell it to use colored syntax and it's working.

Thanks :)
