How to display the Euro symbol.

Post by helios »

The euro symbol will be displayed in TextPad, using ALT + 0128, on the numeric pad, or AltGr-$. However it is dependent on which font you have configured. For instance, Courier New will display correctly.

In order to print the Euro symbol you will need to implement the following procedure

1. From the Configure menu, choose Preferences
2. Click the "+" next to Document Classes.
3. Click the "+" next to the Default document class.
4. Select Font.
5. Under the heading "Scope", check "Printer" or "Both". If the font changes from that previously selected for "Screen" only, then you will need to reselect the Courier New font and Western script.
6. Click OK.

AltGr-$ may work for an English keyboard layout, on a German keyboard layout, the Euro symbol will be AltGr-e

The $-sign on a German keyboard is at Shift-4, and AltGr-$ would be AltGr-Shift-4 which definitely does NOT produce a Euro sign - it is ignored...
