How important is this feature for future versions of TextPad?

Important, even if the size/efficiency of TextPad increases/degrades

Explorer-style Navigator

Post by CJ »

    I would like to see a dockable/floatable, Windows Explorer-style navigator from which we can drag files to open.

    Thanks.

    For a (drag and) drop target, just create a Windows shortcut
    for textpad.exe then drag that shortcut onto the Windows QuickLaunch toolbar (a portion of your Windows Taskbar)

    { this requires your taskbar to be set as "always on top" and the QuickLaunch toolbar set visible }

    Favorite directories

    How about a favorite directories list, like NoteTab has? Instead of the opening directory following the current file (already a fine option), you can choose which directory the "Open" function uses from a list which you administer.
