ctrl + c changes f5 searh string -- how do I stop this

Post by jrs »

I have a large XML file I am always adding items to. I have the f5 searchstring set as an "*", which is between every tag in the XML so I can search for the "*" and type in the information. Sometimes I copy information from other tags. I have noticed when I use CTRL + C to copy, it sets the f5 searchstring to the text I just copied. I HATE THIS! Is there a way to turn it off?

It's not the Ctrl+C that is doing this.

It's the selection.
After Ctrl+C, unselect (esc will do) and then do an F5.
